Marla Cardoza
I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) dedicated to supporting individuals, children, parents, couples and families with life’s challenges while fostering emotional well-being. I am passionate about helping clients uncover their strengths, rewrite unhelpful narratives, and move toward meaningful change.
My clinical experience includes working with clients facing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, life transitions and family dynamics. I am passionate about helping clients build self-esteem, resilience, improve communication and formulate healthy coping strategies.
I have over 9 years of experience working with diverse populations across various settings, including community mental health, school-based programs and nursing home palliative care.
The integrative evidence-based practices that I like best are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Narrative, Trauma-Focused-therapy, and a humanistic approach, all created to meet each person’s unique needs. My goal is to create a safe space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and relational patterns to be able to achieve greater self-awareness and meaningful growth. I look forward to meeting you either in person or using telehealth services.
