Jazmine Jermaine is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #148103) who provides thoughtful, compassionate, and culturally responsive therapy in a private practice setting. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from San Francisco State University and her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of San Francisco. As a Bay Area native and first-generation college graduate, she brings a grounded, inclusive perspective and a deep respect for the diverse identities and experiences of the clients she serves.
She works with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families, supporting clients through life transitions, emotional challenges, and complex mental health concerns. Her experience includes working with individuals experiencing severe and persistent mental health conditions, co-occurring diagnoses, and those navigating high-stress or underserved environments. She is highly trained in crisis intervention, de-escalation, and safety planning, and has extensive experience supporting clients impacted by self-harm, suicidal ideation, and intense emotional distress.
Her approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and tailored to each individual. She draws from evidence-based modalities including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while also integrating person-centered and humanistic principles to create a supportive and empowering therapeutic experience. She believes meaningful change happens when clients feel seen, heard, and understood, and she adapts interventions to meet clients where they are. Her work may also include skills-building, play therapy for children and families, and a multidisciplinary lens to promote whole-person healing.
At the core of her work is the belief that clients are the experts of their own lives. She is committed to creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and relational patterns, build insight and resilience, and move toward greater balance and fulfillment. She is dedicated to ongoing professional growth and lifelong learning to ensure her clients receive thoughtful, high-quality care that supports lasting change.
