POSITION SUMMARY:

The Therapist Associate provides individual therapy to clients diagnosed with moderate to severe mental health diagnosis, while collaborating with internal and external treatment team members. This is a mobile position, requiring travel to meet with clients in residential type of facilities, assisted living and board n care homes.

Job Type: Full Time

Pay: $32 – $35

Work Location: Merced Area

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct Comprehensive Clinical Assessments.
  • Meet with clients routinely based on clinical assessments of client needs.
  • Facilitate weekly group therapy sessions.
  • Complete progress notes for all assigned clients based on individual sessions, group sessions, crisis intervention, as well as any interaction warranting clinical intervention.
  • Perform individual counseling and crisis interventions.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree required.
  • Must be registered with the California board of behavioral sciences (BBS) as an AMFT and/or ACSW.
  • Experience working in an outpatient setting preferred.
  • At least two (2) years of Mental Health experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of psychiatric illness and treatment. • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
  • • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively work with individuals and groups
  • Possess strong interpersonal leadership, analytic, and problem-solving skills. • CCL approved FBI and DOJ criminal background clearances.
  • • Valid driver’s license.
  • • CPR/First Aid/BLS certification

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to climb stairs multiple times a day and be able to lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to sit, rise, kneel, squat, twist, pull bend multiple times a day.
  • Ability to walk with items in hand, grasp and reach as needed.
  • Ability to perform with repetitive maneuvers and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work in an office environment.
